Scary moment, having someone attempt to rob my parents house while my mom and I were home and asleep. My whole family were out of town, except for my mom and me. I didn't wake up to the intruder coming through a middle floor window. Actually I didn't even know it happened until the next afternoon when my mom told me that she heard a noise and wakeup to a man standing in her doorway. Luckily she didn't scream or move enough for the man to know that she was a wake. After he looked at her for a couple minutes he left the top floor and must have exited through the same window he came in. That wasn't the first time someone had tried to rob our home but it was the first time we were home.
